The new Fenix HM55R is a small and lightweight headlamp, weighing only 105 grams. It sits so comfortably on your head that you’ll hardly notice it, even during long use. Despite its compact size, the HM55R provides powerful illumination – up to 1200 lumens of brightness and a beam distance of 175 meters. The lamp is equipped with a powerful 1600 mAh battery that delivers long runtimes across all modes. This means you can stay outdoors longer without worrying about running out of light. For example, at the lowest 5-lumen output, the runtime is up to 141 hours, making it perfect for camping life.
You can easily switch between the bright spotlight and wide floodlight, or activate the red light that preserves night vision and is especially useful for nighttime hiking or observing nature. A large, glove-friendly switch makes changing modes effortless. The wide, comfortable headband ensures the lamp stays secure and comfortable, even during more active use such as trail running.

The Fenix HM55R is built for durability. Its IP68 rating means it is completely dustproof and can withstand submersion in water. You can safely use it in rain, snow, damp forests, or dusty worksites without fear of damage.
Intelligent Brightness Downshift Function
If the headlamp’s light head is too close to an illuminated surface (about 6 cm) for more than 1.5 seconds, the lamp will automatically reduce brightness to 30 lumens. This prevents surfaces from overheating and protects the user from potential burns. When the lamp is moved further away from the surface for more than 0.8 seconds, it will gradually restore the brightness to the previously used level.
